First off even tho your still the same great friend, he's probably feelling a bit weird about it and may not know how to approach you because 1.I've liked her for a while and now she likes me what do I do?
or.
2.She's always been there 4 me she's a great friend and I would'nt want this to affect our friendship.
Even having a solid friendship is always a plus in relationships it can sometimes be difficult to take it that next step. Guys feel weird when it comes to feellings, so approach him and ask what's up. He'll feel better if you come to him

He doesn't feel the way you do for him, sorry.
- You can either tell him that you like him more than a friend, if you can afford to take that risk, you might lose him even as a friend if things turn out wrong.
Or
- You can lie to him and tell that it was just a rumor and nothing more. You just want to be the good friends as you always were. And he'll probably be back to you again.

He is most likely embarrassed by the rumors.
If he tries ignoring you, he probably has no interest in you in that manner. If he simply acts differently, then the reverse is true.
I would suggest either to ask him out or wait a few weeks for the rumors to die down, resulting in him returning to normal.

He only want to be friends with you...not for a higher step of relationship...maybe you should try make fun with him and flirt him...just pull back don`t go forward to fast be patient...if in one month no progress just forgot about him and come with another new chapter of life

it's probably awkwardness. He might well feel the same. It will wear off in a few days, and just start talking to him like before. It's happened to me (I know this stuff from experience). He'll come through.

Most of the time, girls tend to avoid guys when it becomes obvious the guy is crushing on them. Your case seems to be the reverse. Perhaps you're coming on a little too strongly? ;)

he just might not feel comerfortble knowing that his best freing has a crush on him. just give him some time and if he doesnt come arount go talk to him. its better knowing the truth than living your whole life not know how he feels.

Talk to him. Ask him what's going on? Basically trust what your heart says, that's the best advisor. Good Luck!
