how to help full-figured women gain confidence? Thank you for your answer. It's very important to me. Thank you all.

Tell them not to listen to the headlines or anyone else.

I'm fat. And while I'd like to lose weight, I enjoy being big for many reasons. The primary reason I felt like there was something wrong with me was because I couldn't find clothes that fit. That's changing, and I'm a lot more comfortable now.

I've had to learn how to ignore the nasty comments people make, but it's very hard to do.

I've also had to learn that many people truly believe obesity is a horrible disease that is as bad as or worse than smoking. It's hard to be fat when every morning I wake up and read the headlines, there's another horrible affliction supposedly linked to obesity.

So, gaining confidence for fat women (the word fat is not a bad word) derives from the same methods of teaching anyone confidence. Believe that you have to offer is worth something. Believing that just because some people don't accept you for who you are doesn't mean you are a bad person. Accepting yourself for who you are, flaws and all. And so on.

Take her shopping and have her pick out some sexy clothing. She needs to know she's beautiful, have her try those clothes on tell her she looks sexy. Have her go to one of those day spa's where they pamper you with a massage, manicure, etc. Have her get a new fun hairstyle to show off her face. Stand her in front of the mirror and tell her to look at how beautiful she is. Make a warm bath with bubbles and candles then tell her I know you've had a hard day, just sit back and relax, because you are so worth it.
