There's a famous gyro guy on 53rd street and 6th Avenue. We buy food from them everytime we go to the city. They come at 7:00 p.m. and people form LONGGGG Lines.

Anyway, it came to my notice that Hilton had sued this gyro stand guy (Imagine). But since they (gyro stand)have been serving in city for over 20 years no one can harm there repute.

So what happened today was..me and my 4 co-workers had a training in city.we decided to go to this gyro guy after training. After training we headed towards the location. It was 5:30 p.m. at that time...to our suprise there were already people waiting for him to come.we still had an 2 hours to wait...and the weather was just CRAZY.Raining heavily. There are so many gyro guys but everyone goes to them because of their taste and cleanliness etc.Anyway, finally at 7:00...the gyro gstand came.BTW it is run by Egypitan and Syrians .We were the first ones in line...after a long wait...I heard hew men just barge into the stand claiming for license....

They were SO RUDE to the workers that I donl;t have words to explain. The poor owner kept saying I will present you the license as soon as I start serving the people. But the food inspectors just wanted excuse to stop them from working. To my shock...the senior food inspector came in and said...this stand is closed...everyone leave...and the inspector turned to me and said...you should'nt come here...there was a murder that took place here and because of the long lines there are a lot of robberies.\
Oh I swear I felt sooooooooo angry for the Inspectors. I call it true case of DISCREMENNATION. Who has the bloody right to ruin their business? They were falsely accusing the gyro men for not being cooperative where as they were cooperative. Why did the inspector tell us to never come to that area....WHY???

there were 20 peoplewaiting already for their meals....How dare they do something like that? Is there a way i can report about these inspectors for there RUDE attitude .Comments plz.

It may be because they have been having trouble with the people on that line recently.

A few weeks ago, a young man was stabbed and killed after having a fight with another young man on the line.

When things like that happen, it forces the city to stop turning a blind eye to people who probably break a few rules here and there, but they are popular or have been around a long time so nobody bothers them.

It is unfortunate, but that is just the way it is here sometimes. I don't think it is discrimination.
