its peroxide actually and thats what takes color out of your hair so when you mix it with a dye, the color of the dye soaks in, but the dye part washes out fairly quickly and you are stuck with the bleachy color of your own hair.

cream developer, fixer, peroxide, they are all the same, cream conditioner was adde to peroxide so that it doesnt be harsh on the hair, peroxide or developer is what activates the tint, tint can not work without the developer.
