When you sleep with someone it changes your relationship. Sometimes turning your friends into lovers equals a long term relationship or completley the oppisite and ruining what was a beautiful friendship.
BUT
On the other hand, my lover is my best friend, we can talk about everything and anything, we trust each other totally and are commited completley to each other.

I used to believe that lovers couldn't be friends. But that was before I met my husband. We were co-workers at an adoption agency. We respected each other and had a lot in common so it was easy for us to become friends. Soon the mutual attraction between us became too obvious to ignore so we became lovers, yet remained friends. Next month we will celebrate our 33 anniversary and yes, we are still lovers, still friends and still very married and very much in love with each other.

yes a good friend can become a lover. becoz you know about each other, your qualities, ,likes, interests etc. so if there is chance in becoming lovers. but a lover never cant be a frend.
a lover is always lover. even if they become frend there wil be some kind of attachment towards each other.
so i believe that freind can be a lover but a lover cant be a friend.

Oh yes.i believe so because usually once ur friend becomes a lover, then trust me,the closeness disappears, i mean there things ur feel free talking to with ur friend other than ur bf,and in case of a break up,u will definitely lose the friend u had in him, since relationships usually end up on a sad note.

You can be friends but it is hard for things to be the same as they were before (if for instance, you were friends before being lovers).
For one thing, if you have a recent ex lover as a close friends and you maintain a close distance with them, it is highly possible that you will find it hard to get over that ex-lover.

Well... I think a friend could be your lover, if you grow to know that person, and your personalities click, then you might grow to like that person. A lover should also be your friend, because they are your friend as well as a lover, because, after all, you do do things with him/her?

sometimes its hard to be friends with someone you started out being just a lover with, you dont see them the same way, i think its best to be friends first and let things go from there, lovers are just that, and friends are forever

I do belive that friends can be lovers because it's easyer to be a lover to somone you've known all your life, and you can trust. But it's a lot harder to be a friend to somone you've shared intimate moments with and have possibly loved. WHY..jealousy to see that person you shared those moments with is now sharing them some where else.
This was a good question!

I don't believe friends can be lovers either. Generally, I think those two areas of your life need to be separate.
