Easy! Get a work holiday visa from nz immigration and then look up on www.trademe.co.nz for room mates needed in the place you want to live! also they have jobs on www.seek.co.nz!

First you need a work visa, good luck getting one in New Zealand. I'd stay in hostels and travel around. The hostels are nice in NZ, and pretty inexpensive too.

I would suggest you stay in a hostel when you go over the initially and then you could try gumtree for jobs as there are always loads of jobs advertised.

Nah! Come down to Wellington! Fantastic nightlife, plenty of work, beaches, great people and central to everything! Always plenty of work around if youre prepared to look as theres so much going on here.
