questions about bringing others to Christ or why people reject the word of God and Jesus that people that are not christians have to come on there and be rude and put down what we believe? I dont hear that coming out of a christian to a buddist or a musslem or something like that.

~I respect you and your beliefs. I dont nessarely beleive in them but I respect it. Why dont you respect mine too? What did I do? What did Jesus do? God? Other Christians?

Unfortunately, Christians do often go onto threads about Buddhism or paganism or whatnot and start screaming that the people who believe in these things are going to Hell.

It is too bad that such baiting goes on, because the unfortunate effect when so much baiting on both sides go on, that posts not meant to be baiting can seem to be baiting and insulting when they weren't that way, simply because all the baiting on all sides primes us to be defensive.

I hear a lot of rude comments on here from Christians - and everywhere else I go, too.

You talk about respect, yet you say you want to "bring others to Christ." How do you know that your way is the right way?

How can you ask, when you defend yourself, "what did I do? What did Jesus do? God? Other Christians?" When someone responds to you, they are responding to Jesus and God, too? Some people are responding defensively because they have a different view, or a different relationship with God. You can't profess to know that your view is the only view.

Finally, I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I respond sometimes because I feel that certain statements or questions could hurt someone who is especially confused or susceptible to fear and doubt. Some questions and comments hurt certain groups of people that are innocent and don't deserve criticism. I especially don't like it when people who are simply different are accused of being evil.

You are a good christian. Beleive in yourself and god will look over you. That is the only worry you should have about God. Make sure he is watching over you and you have nothing more to worry about. The others you will just have to block out of your thoughts. Keep your path.

I agree with you. Some people act very ignorantly and people like us who are mindful of our actions can only hope that we will be positive influeneces. I will say though that the Christian community has a little bit of a bad repuatation due to extremists. Not that that is an excuse for rudeness. It's just sad. I wish everyone would see no matter what religion you have they are all the same, lets just love one another and be civil towards eachother!
Oh yeah and see people for who they are, not the sterotype that you think they are!

I'm christian well in some slight warpped aspect i suppose because my interpretation of biblical texts differs from yours I should refrain from comment , if I am a Christain and I still believe in God why can't I have my say, If i choose to view something different from some out of touch old fart in rome then God has given me this right , my grandfather was a priest and i'm sure I have more knowledge of your religion then most of you who call yourself "true believers" I read the whole bible before I was 13 so if I want to make comments pointing out the stupidity and narrow mindness of those who classify themselves as Christians I have every right to

People put down other people because it is easier than taking a stand and actually believing in something. For some people, being rude to those of us that do believe, makes them feel better about themselves; they think they are funny -- they are NOT!!! Most people that don't believe in anything don't understand respect. Unfortunately, society does not teach about respect....although it thinks it does.

Fruit of the poison tree. Firstly if not lack of knowledge your beliefs are founded in corruption through the years and hence don't deserve any more respect then the ignorance whence they came .....Exploitation of Christ the man Jesus is not respecting the genuine article . I base my faith on truth not money and power and war all stemming of a lack of honest effort to find the real knowledge in plain truth .I don't respect what I'm told I must accept when it's ignorant.

This is just a taste of what christians have to look forward to in the future. Things will get much worse than this. So strap your boots on and prepare for the ride of your life. At least in this day and age we have the freedom to speak our thoughts and to disagree outloud. there will be a day when that freedom is no longer ours. So with all the bad that comes with this freedom at least we have freedom.

You didn't do anything wrong. You must realize that this section is unfortunately subjected to anyone. Sadly, there are those who have no intentions of making your visit pleasant. Ignore them and look for questions that are articulate and pleasant from those who are truly searching and wanting answers. Please don't take this personal. It took me awhile to realize that not all people have your best interest at heart even in a religious forum. God bless.

in effortless terms problem with asking in effortless terms people who think of such as you is they won't undertaking you. And once I actually have a question on evolution I handle it to evolutionists and once I even have questions of theory and Bible then I handle to Christians.
