Why do men only want short women????

Question

Everywhere I go you see a tall man, like over six feet with a five two or shorter girl!
Why???
If I was a guy and I was tall I wouldnt want to have to bend over to kiss my girlfriend...You think tall men would want tall women and short men short women, it just looks better I think, like avril and deryk or sandra bullock and jesse james, I dont get it.
We tall girls (im fivenine and a 8th) have ******* too you know!

My best guess is that it is a cultural stereotype. There are a few that have taller gfs, so, this too shall pass. It may have something to do with feeling superior, but I don't think that's the reason in most cases. Once I had a taller gf, and I had a great relation w/her, the reason we broke up wasn't her size, but she was from a different country.
I also believe must women like their men taller, makes them feel protected, or maybe that was the stereotype.

I agree with you that the very-tall-guy/very-short-girl thing seems weird. But my observations have been that women (rather than guys) are the ones who seem to be seeking these relationships.

In all the DateMaker type colums I've read, I've never seen a "Man seeking Woman" ad where the guy specified what height woman he was looking for. But many women indicate that the man must be at least an inch or two taller than she is (which I think is fine), and a considerable number of others (who are shorties) make it clear they want a tall man of six feet or more (which I think is strange).

I often wondered about that because if they had boy-on-girl sex, her face would most likely be burried in his chest. How could she breathe?

So, to answer your question, I don't think it's the men who are seeking this; I think it's the women. So maybe you should post a second (and reworded) question to see how women might respond.

In closing, let me add that I've learned from watching crime shows on cable, that some people like having sex while being almost suffocated. Strange in my opinion. But it takes place, and some men participants have gone to jail for murder because they overdid it (possibly accidentally while in the throws of ecstasy). Anyway, the judge and jury didn't think it was done accidentally, so they paid a hell of a price for some weird sex.

I'm short (5"2) and I only seem to attract short guys, and I feel like tall guys want tall girls usually.
Just an observation, not scientific truth, but I think women are attracted to tall guys generally because usually they are more confident. And most guys I think are more confident around short women. Like I have a crush on this guy whose like 6"5, and we would look absolutely ridiculous together, but its not his height but that he's confidence and style that I'm attracted to.

Personally, I don't take an interest in a lady based on her physical appearance, I go for her personality first. Her looks are a bonus. I'm 6', and it's just been coincidence that of my three romantic interests that I've had in my 22 years, one has been about 5'6", and the others have been 5'1" and 4'10" (the last is my girlfriend right now).

I think it has more to do with short women wanting tall men. I have seven sisters and they are all about 5'3" and most of their husbands and boyfriends are 6'3" or more. The guy really doesn't care as long as they're not intimidating. But one good reason to want short women is, short girls are smaller and are easier to throw around when messin around. Talk about fun.

Well, first of all, women are usually shorter than men. That's just how it goes.

Second of all, some men don't like feeling shorter than their woman. It's an inferiority thing. Some men like their women to be taller. Just all depends on the guy.

A lot of guys wouldn't date me because I'm short. But in the end, my five foot self found a six foot one guy. So, again, it just all depends.

My husband is 6feet and 1inch and I am 5 feet my son is 6 foot and he only goes for short women. I ask him why he said because their just cuter and easier to wrap your arms around. My husbands fathers is 6-3 and he married a woman 5-1.You wanted to no why,well now you no I.Could go on and on but I no it hurt to hear the truth.I'm not trying to be mean and I'm sorry if it sounds like I am.

Our subconcious sometimes only allows us to see what we want to see. It's more common that you hear the short girls complaining because our society smiles upon height. basketball players, movie and rockstars and especially models- the taller the better. It sounds like you may have had a personal experiance that makes you notice those kinds of couples. I'm 5'' 9 and a half, I have killer legs and in fact I love high heeled shoes, In a pair of 4inch silettos i'm close to 6"2. Men love me! of all heights. I think you should focus on being confident and embracing your hieght (especially your legs cause they're probably sick!) and 4get about those odd couples. When you do you'll start to notice all of the men who are checking you out because of your hieght and all the model -like chicks with rich boyfriends!

Maybe there's just too many short girls??? Truth is though at 5'4" it's not all the fun with a tall guy. Reason: his arm is heavy on your shoulder. For that reason alone I go for 5'9" to 5'10" now. Gotta save my back.

well usually guys like shorter women and women usually want taller men. That's how it usually turns out. but I'm 5'1 and my bf is 6'1 and we dont mind about the difference. but anyways just look for men that are taller then you because not all tall men want short women.
