Well here goes - I'm a photographer. I look for the beauty in all things and in all people. I try to get the camera to capture the beauty that I see and then the photo is my message to the world.

I believe, after reading your question, that you and many others miss what Christianity, according to the authoritative source of it, The Bible, is about. The absolute, total purpose, is giving the precepts by which people should live with one another. Too, a reward is offered for living with each other in love and peace and punishment is threaten if we fail to do that.

From the beginning of the Old testament to the end of it, the theme is what you should do and not do as you interact with your neighbor. Children obedience to their parents, husbands relationship with their wives, all the laws that should govern our daily interaction with each other.

The New Testament sums up the Ten Commandments with two commands, Love God and love one another!

The Ten Commandments or Love should shape your character attributes and that effects your views within your vocational aspirations!
