Try having a silent auction. You could have all the stuff displayed in the auditorium and let people come in to view and bid first thing in the morning, again during lunch and one last time before school closed. You tally the bids and post the winning bids and instructions on where to pay for and pick up their items. You can get parents to help collect the "gently used items" and set up in the auditorium. It will take a little time to get organized but the students could help do that.

My organization does this every year. Your parents could get involved and help make this successful. Last year, we donated over $2500 to a charity and our organization's attendance at the auction was only 50 people.

Good luck!
