what do you do when your so mad and angery and pissed off that all you want to do is break everything around you beat the hell out of everybody and don't give a **** who it is what is it or what it is about??? please tell me because i think i'm about to have a stroke or go completely postal .

listen to some music. i try to relax and think about the consequences of my possible actions, i.e., in a fight with my husband and i want to say something horrid i think of what it would do to him emotionally and i try not to say it because i love him and really dont want to hurt him. i think about why i want to react that way- a lot of the time when you are caught inthe frenzy of the moment you say and do things to lash out and injure, and when you calm down you end up having hurt your loved ones and you feel terrible. just try to be understanding and relaxed. and if you cant get a handle on it go for a run, vent, and look at the situation from the others point of view, try and realize where they are coming from. and think about this: "It is a fool who takes offense when offense is meant, but an even greater fool who takes offense when it isnt meant"- Brigham Young. its true. dont let them get the bset of you. Self control is important and empowering.

Since you know that this is a big issue for you, you should find someone to talk to as soon as possible about dealing with your anger. No need to hurt anyone or even yourself. You can start with your Dr. or even open up the phone book and look under crisis management.
