i seem some optimistic dudes and duddettes who think immigrants will keep coming if an amnesty was granted .

those dudes and dudettes think that a new legalization would be needed in the future .

so i must assume than those dudes and dudettes think America will still be a great country in 20 years .

so will they keep coming just as they think ???

i must add than those dudes and dudettes are anti-immigrants and that i am pro-legalization .

If they grant amnesty like in the 1980's. I would prefer that they set something in place to secure the border but the entire border.... their lack of gumption to do anything about this situation has us in a terrible predicament.......The politicians greed for tax money enabled terrorist to penetrate and invade our lovely country. Amnesty will happen but I want them to secure our country

Most countries also have stricter policies on immigration. We need to control our borders and keep a strong labour force as well. The American lifestyle is so diverse, it would be difficult to define today. I believe we Will find solutions to these issues. Isolationism doesn't work these days. Countries are interdependent economically. By October of this year it is projected we will hit 300 million. The 1950's American Dream wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. I think we are discovering that keeping up with the Jone's isn't the key to being successful. We always find solutions and change solutions with the changing times. We'll be alright. That's what makes America so great.We solve problems.

Back in the 1400's, the Native Americans opened up the flood gates, and the Europeans just started coming. They've never stopped. Now, they think that the land belongs to them, and they want to keep people from coming, just as they did.

The major difference is that the new immigrants aren't killing them to get here like they did to the Natives. They aren't presenting gifts of smallpox infected blankets. They aren't wiping out complete tribes for the land. I wonder what those europeans would feel like if entire vilages were slaughtered and towns purposefully infected with deadly disease.

Yes, the United States has a right to defend the land that they stole. It's a sovereign nation, I just think it would mean a bit more if they remembered their roots.
