just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

Actually there is no cure for paranoia. Paranoia exists in all of us to a certain degree. Some have very little paranoia and are too trusting and may tend to be gullible. Some are very paranoid or hyper vigilant and see threats where there are no threats. Most people fall somewhere in the middle with normal suspicion that aids in protecting us from possible harm.
If you want to reduce your paranoia you may want to try examining its stages. What triggers your paranoia, what reduces it? Don’t settle on one answer like” he/she is out to get me.” List other explanations for the behavior or words. When you see that there can be other reasons besides the one that they want to do you harm you may then realize there is no actual threat.
Reality test your paranoid thoughts. Ask friends or others what they think of the situation that is causing your paranoia. If your paranoia is severe you may want to get some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which helps change thinking that would lead to paranoid thoughts.

If this is just run of the mill day to day paranoia which everyone seems to have and not diagnosed psychotic paranoia, then face what you fear. Do it actually, by reasoning out the feared situation or imaginatively. Once you have found out that what you fear probably isn't real then it will disappear. If you have diagnosed paranoia medication helps but the same principles apply.

If you are doing coke or meth, and you can't handle the sketch, lay off on that stuff. Funny thing is some people get off on it- they actually enjoy peeking out the window all night.
It would help if you elaborated on the nature of your paranoia.
Many people experience a sense of dread without explanation.
However, if you are seriously convinced that someone is poisoning you, trying to kill you by sabotaging your car, or that people are following you, listening to your calls, etc. and its bothering you a lot, and also you can't seem to make it stop, consult a psychiatrist. Medications such as seroquel, risperedal or Haldol can provide much relief.
Also developing a relationship with a loving god that only has your best wishes and wants you to prosper can lead to a sense of faith that things will be OK after all. Sometimes life pulls the rug out from under us, and it can lead to a feeling that god doesn't have our back, sapping us of our faith and courage.
