Is there such a thing as a non-sweet corn in the US? I love eating salty corn, I can't stand the sweetness of the sweet corn. :-( Can anybody tell me if and where I can find non-sweet corn and if there is a special name/type for it?
Thanks!!!!

P.S. I'm asking because in Russia we grow regular corn, non-sweet, so I don't consider it "corn for farm animals"!

Sweet corn is grown for human consumption, usually in Florida, etc. Most of the rest of it is feed corn for cattle and hogs, et al.

Here in the USA all corn in the stores is sweet corn for human consumption all the other corn is called feed corn which generally is fed to cattle and other animals as their feedstock. That corn tastes terrible too as it is quite bitter.
