To me , it is not an audible voice, but rather a still small voice speaking to your spirit. It can be very strong, like when someone around you is opressed by demons , and your spirit feels it and you about get sick. Or when God draws you to a stranger and you know they need prayer and a friend. God speaks through your spirit , not your brain,or else we would try to reason or figure out and question everything. And we are not robots. We have a free will. So when we put our lives in His hands, He leads and shows you so many really cool things .Serving God isn't just a job. It's an adventure!

If you ever hear God's voice in this mortal world youwill know who is speaking, with out any doubt. ou will know the authority and the strength of it to be like no other voice... I have heard ten words I know to be God's voice. Seven words 29 yrs before I actualy became of The True Christian Faith and three words on the day after my Salvation. I am absolutly certain it was God's voice but I have absollutly no way to prove it to you...The words were for me and were not audable to any other... But it was not like a thought... it was like no other experience I had ever had or have had since...It was not a booming from the clouds or thunderlike at all... but the clarity and strength of it was compeling and undenyable....

God speaking to individuals dose happen more often than is reported... because it usualy is only for the individual and there is no need to share the event.... no one who has truly heard The Voice of God can "prove it" to anyone... it is not of concern to any who have heard... it is part of the relationship of the individual to God... it is usualy of a very personal nature... The first time for me was when I accompanied another into a holy place. I was very much not a believer at the time.... as this woman knelt to pray Ivery clearly heard..." Get out you are not welcome here"... it was so clear and firm that I Got out fast... it was so overpowering that I supressed the event for many years... 29yrs later on the day after my Salvation I took my first communion... when I silently thanked God for Christ Jesus I very clearly heard, in exactly the same voice I heard years befor and thousands of miles away....but this time I heard 'You are welcome"... it is my hope to return to that holy place some day... I know I will be welcome... and I know I will hear that voice again one day welcoming me to Heaven.

I have heard God's audible voice many times. It sounded loving and authoritative. To me it is a male voice. On three occasions when I receive God's healing for my body He told what He would do and what I need to do. I learnt to hear God's by praying in tongues up to 3 hours at a stretch. When I am praying or ministering I also hear His voice. If the church of Jesus Christ is not supposed to hear God's voice why in the book of Revelation all the seven churches are commanded, 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.' If Christians are to live victorious lives in the end-time they should wake up to the call of God to learn to communicate with the Holy Spirit to be their Personal Coach and Empoweror. Get rid of the wrong teaching that God does not speak to us in an audible voice. He spoke to Moses in the Old Covenant more so to us in the New Covenant who have better promises. Moreover Moses had the Holy Spirit upon him we have the Holy Spirit in us,closer to us. Jesus is our Chief Shepherd we are His sheep and the Lord said in John 10:16 that His sheep hear His voice. Can Jesus lie or are Christians misled by those who do not know better. The Spirit is saying to all Christians open your spiritual ears to hear what the Spirit wants to say to you. Arise from your slumber and live in Christ!

You do not hear it like you hear the voice of another human. God speaks to you in the depth of your soul. He speaks to your heart. Sometimes (this is rare) He can speak to you in what is call glossolalia. Or a form of it. It is like being in a hypnotic trance and you know what you must do afterwards. It is a flowing of communication that goes from Him to you and from a deep part of you to Him and it is something like light. If you look at the picture that shows Jesus in the garden praying next to a large stone and the light coming down upon him. It is like that.

You can also feel His presence in the wind as it caresses your face and hair. You can feel His presence in all of nature.

And sometimes God speaks to you through other people. They don't know it, but you will hear what they are saying and know that there is a special message for you in that.

In my case, it sounds like my own voice, the one I always hear in my head when I'm thinking. I think it can really sound like anything he wants------there is a description in the Bible of " a voice that sounds like many waters," meaning like a roaring river. The voice from the mountain, Mt. Sinai (or is it Horeb?) was too terrible for the children of Israel to stand, and they begged Moses to shut him up.

God's voice is like a choir of a million voices, quiet as a whisper yet more poignant than crashing peals of thunder. You hear it when your heart is changed, when you're still and searching for it with all of your heart. It's way more than just talking to another human being - yet hearing from Him is just that natural.

wow, I'm surprised no one quoted the bible here. Remember epiphany? The heavens opened up and a dove appeared over Jesus head, and a voice was heard: "This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased", but to some standing there, it just sounded like thunder.

Another mention is that Jesus knows his sheep, and they know him, because "they know the voice of their shepherd" In other words, it's just something you know when you hear it.

According to the Bible, God's Word, God speaks in many ways. Sometimes it may be through someone else, sometimes an audible voice, he may speak by answering your questions through His Word (Bible). He may speak by showing a sign, or it may just be a simple yet profound thought that you know was not your own. Ever did something you regret, and in looking back on the situation, you think "Something told me not to..."? (Smile)

I have never heard God's voice either. I think what I have heard has been Angels or Saints. It is dangerous for God to speak to us, for if we refuse to obey Him, it is worse for us. For we would have refused God, and that would hurt us in a horrible way, and give place to the enemy to confound us. That is why I believe that God does use the Angels and Saints so very much to communicate with us.

No one hears the true voice of God. They hear the Metatron, who simply speaks in God's stead. If anyone really heard the voice of God, their heads would explode and they'd turn inside out. We went through four "Lukes" before figuring that one out.
