Fungus On Hands

If you have nail fungus there are all kinds of products over the counter that claim to work - but they don't so don't waste your money. The best thing to do is get a prescription from your doctor. The prescription medication works but it takes a long time to clear up the fungus. You have to be faithful about taking it.
Sometimes you will hear that these prescription fungal medicines can cause liver problems but my doctor said that this is pretty rare. But you can get a blood test at regular intervals and that will let you know for sure if your liver has been affected.

The prescription stuff is really the only way to go. The over the counter stuff is just smoke and mirrors.

Try Tinactin cream. It's for athletes foot, but it works great for other fungus too. Many years ago I had a fungus on my foot and the doctor used all kinds of things, but only Tinactin worked, and it was gone in a few days.

If that doesn't help, I'd recommend you see a doctor.

Good luck!

Fungus in the hand is the same as fungus in the foot or in a baby's bottom. I always put Lamisil on baby's bottom.

You need an anti-fungal cream such as Miconazole (Micatin is one brand). Cortizone may suppress symptoms but will not cure fungus.

You may need a prescription antibiotic ointment. My mother had something like this for a few YEARS. Every time she thought it was almost healed here it would come again, and to the point that it would bleed sometimes. Keep it dry- except for the ointment.
