Dear Ananth
Take it simply or say accept it. There is no ecosystem in the world where you only find herbivorous or carnivorous, both have to be together so that they can fight the battle of survival. Yes the extent to which they should be needs to be decided.
Now how do you define this extent of Poverty or Corruption?
To explain this I would classify a person's life into 3 domains
1. Extremely personal- Where he lives in his own mind, or family
2. His/Her Society- The people he had dealt with, is dealing or will be dealing with
3. Entire Universe- He may not be able to see everything everyone but their actions affects him more or less.
Take your own example- How positive you are about your own life? How much are you determined not to do the things to others you don't expect on yourself.
Simply start applying yourself, nurture your own aura and start spreading it from yourself to your own family then to your own society. If everyone thinks & does alike, your or our problem will be solved.
Now it was a philosophical answer. Now doing it into reality we young people with full of energy, honesty, guts & leadership must participate in elections, instead of fighting to become an IAS, IFS and lick corrupt politician's feets, we must become the leaders of our own country & let's change what we common mass think of...
1. Honesty 2. Prosperity 3. Health 4. Peace
But the biggest problem is we all those 95% good people around the world don't have unity & thus strength to kick out all those minuscle 5% people (so called corrupt people) who have only one universal virtue i.e. unity....unity....unity.
Can we find it together...is the bigger question? Ain't we
Thanks

Educated persons should choose Politics as a Profession.
Police should change their mindset.Judiciary should be still bolder enough to punish those elements.People should elect only qualified persons.Election Commission should not allow bad elements to participate in Election.People should question the Politician if they are erring.Amendments should be done to provide facility to withdraw corrupt politician while in office. If proved correct Politician should be hanged in public for the offenses of above types mentioned..........(OK, But when all these will materialize?).
All in the hands of today's youngsters. That is why Dr.Kalam is spending more time with them.Long live persons like Dr.Kalam & Dr.Manmohan.......

Politicians at all levels make lot of promises - even when they know full well that once in power they would not be able to deliver many of them, or have no intention of delivering them.
The key here is for the public to become educated and hold the politicians as well all the civil servants, accountable for their actions, decisions and promises. Their tenure should also be limited to two terms and their qualifications for the office should be publicly scrutnized.
There is lot of data put out by the governments concerning their operations on the internet but is anyone analyzing and bringing the subject office or department to task. I believe there are lot of educated and unemployed people in the country. If they get together and put their resources and heads together - they can build a better future.
India needs to do a lot to catch-up with the rest of the world, but it does not have to be driven by the government alone, private sector as well as many non-profitable organizations could accomlish the same.
Every individual has to take it upon himself and assess as to what is his contribution in making India a better place to live. It can start with small actions, small donations in physical help or monetary help according to one's means.

Corruption can be eliminated - That is the fact that we should know first .
Instead of the old grandpa's and grandma's in our politics we need young , talented and patriotic people in our politics .
The problem is these oldies know "too much" .
Just give a chance to the youngsters. I say the Lok Paritran is a good step in this regard . In next elections we should bring them to power . Lets give those youngsters a chance to prove themselves . Till now we voted to power all grandpa's . And there was no change in the level of corruption . Now lets atleast give a chance to these young people . If there is any hope i think a student body like Lok Paritran can only do it .
What is there in trying ?

If there is Political Will only then it is possible, other wise a Department like CBI must be raised who should check the net assets of any individual with his Payment of I.T.return, Govt must take care of aged after their Retirement.with handsome payment and living condition. Most of the people in Govt Service feel insecure so they prefer to earn more . , Special Law should be framed to deal such crime. CBI conduct raid only when the fish become too big, It should not allow. it to happen. It should be nipped in the Bud. Retirement Age must be put to 55 years with the 62 years to Honest Employees on Annual rating. The CBI or any such department must be under the President of India.and they should be on contract basis, In case they fail to yield the result than they should be shown the door. .
