I just had my heart cruelly broken recently over a simple crush yet I've been devastated. I'm numb and dont feel anything when another guy likes me.. It's already been 3 weeks. Sometimes I just break out crying at home. I've been excercising a lot lately because it makes me feel better.. but the high wears off in a day and im back to being depressed. What's wrong with me?

Don't believe crying yourself to sleep at nights will help you to overcome a heart break. The first steps are to relax and spend some time with friends and family, not to mention going out and having some fun. These are all to take your mind off "the heart breaker". If that doesn't work, try meeting new people. The aim for all this is to open up your eyes, and allow yourself to see the truth. Which is that you are still a valuable person. Besides, look at it this way, you are not the one losing, he is. They are losing a unique individual.

My personal philosophy in life is that out of everything bad comes something good. Therefore, the bad thing in this situation is losing the person you love, hence ending up with a broken heart. However the good thing that will come out of it is that, with that person out of your life, you will meet someone new. Someone who will accept you and appreciate you for who you are.

So again, I'll ask, can one mend one's broken wings and learn to fly again? Sure you can. Love comes with a lot of risks so before falling, first consider the cost and weigh your feelings.

I don't know what was involved here; but you can have your heart broken over having a crush on someone. It's probably all built up in one's mind what it would be like to be with a certain person and you day dream about it. Then, if you get to talk with them at all, you read things into what he says that may be totally wrong from his viewpoint. When you see them with someone else, it is startling and it hurts. Seems like you never get to old to have a crush on someone. You'll just have to ride it out and keep up the exercise and one day you'll have a crush on someone else and he might be the one for you.

I'm sorry to hear about that, doll.
But I must commend you on finding such a healthy way to deal with your emotions with exercise. (Just as long as you're not overdoing it. :])
It's normal for depression to take over when something such as a broken heart occurs. Obviously you had adequate feelings for this person. Healing doesn't happen overnight.

Just remember, if it wasn't supposed to hurt, it wouldn't be called a "crush." ♥

Well if it was just a simple crush then you shouldn't be crying over it anyways. But I have been in that situation before so I understand you just have to forget about that guy and live life to the fullest life's to short to be fretting about some measly guy.

There is nothing wrong with you. You are a woman and many of us are emotional. Let yourself grieve the loss of the excitement and thrill of the chase. It takes time, especially when you haven't had a longer term kind of real relationship. It can be lonely. Be patient with yourself and give yourself time. Get around some young children - they are sure to bring a smile to your face.
