Did anybody witness this conversation? If not, make her say the same things in front of someone else or at least make a tape of her saying this. Just in case anything happens to your dogs. Make sure you keep a close eye on your dogs and make sure they don't eat or drink anything that anyone other than you gives them, I hate to see anything happens to your pups.
You tried to make friend with your neighbor and she refused. You did the right thing and she is totally wrong.

No you are not wrong. If you are ok with your city rules for dogs, you have nothing to worry about. She can ***** and hate all she wants...she can't do anything about it. You write down the conversation and keep it...date it. So if something comes up with her you can say...I tried on this date to talk to her and make this situation right and this is what she said.....
You must live next to the bastar*d of the earth there.. holy cows she must be a real treat. If you have a chain link fence or one that she can see through....get a privacy fence..or plant some bushes or something..the less you see of her and vice versa the better. Better solution...move. Who needs a crabby patty like that....Jeez..i've heard it all now. Friggin crazy as* people in this world...no damn wonder everyone is shooting at eachother all the time and people are stressed out. She needs to get a life and stop worrying that your dogs are gonna get her.
You are not wrong. I repeat...not wrong. If someone said that about my lab...I'd beat em right there too. Dogs are to be loved and cherished as they have an even shorter time on earth than we do. Some people just don't get that. Thank God you do!! Keep up the good work, and don't let Hagatha get you down!

U cant force her to like them especially if she is scared of them. The reputation of them gives most people a hatred for them. I was one of those people except I wasnt so rude to a friendly neighbor who was trying to be real! I would just shake the anger cuz some people just have no class & still be neighborly to her if you see any reason to be her friend. So slowly as the dogs grow she may become a friend to you and can slowly get to know and like them as dogs, not pitt-bulls. My friend got one as a puppy and I even printed stuff off the internet about them to make him change his mind. All the aweful stuff! But as she grew and I kept seeing it every other day or so and I played w/ her, I fell in love w/ her! Now she is a huge scarey looking loveable baby to me! I'm glad I had sorta been forced into it. Otherwise I still would be hateful of the breed. Maybe you could print out this letter and your question and deliver it to her so she can maybe give them a chance! Good Luck and NO HITTING!

File a police report. If she ends up killing your dogs through poision or something, you have evidence. It would be circomstantial, but it would be better than nothing.
Pits or Staffordshire Terriors? They may be really nice doggies, but I would also make sure she doesn't provoke them to hurt her as a way of having them euthanized. I would supervise them everytime they are outside just to make sure. Pits aren't exactly known as the friendliest dog...which is totally unfair because they are awesome...but you can't change the stereotype.

First up: Report the threat to the humane society. She has threatened to kill your dogs. Pits are not naturally mean, they have to be taught to be mean. Yours are probably just big cute puppies, and she's dumb enough to figure every pit is like the one in the paper, you know, the one who ate a kid's arm or something. It's like saying every teenager is like the one who broke into a house. Every dad is like the deadbeat dad in the paper. Just a dumb woman - but report it, because if she harms those animals, it's then on record, and you can do something about it. That's a police offense these days. Harming animals, I mean.

Pits do have a reputation, but she is obviously an ignorant *****. Just make sure you train them extemely well, meaning they know you are the alpha and wouldn't do anything unless you gave them the word. They are sooo cute when they are pups. Good luck

Of course you're not wrong. I would be careful of your neighbor though. By the way she speaks to you, she obviously does not care what you think of her. It's a loud hint that she doesn't intend to have a friendly relationship with your pups and will probably look for any excuse to narc them out. Don't give her a reason.

Wow! I would want to hit her to. Pits do have a rep to be mean, fighting dogs. You did your best in trying to get her to come over. Maybe she had a bad experice with one once and now dislikes pits. You should not let her tell you how to raise your dog.

You tried, she is scared by the news of pits that have been poorly raised.
Be careful with them outside. I have seen where neighbors have baited the areas along fencelines with something like antifreeze so the dog will go drink it (sweet taste). Watch them carefully.
Otherwise screw her.

contact the humane society, SPCA and the Canine unit of the police station/or just the police office...tell them about this woman and her threats and she has said your dogs will die soon. the police will do something about it and if anything should happen she will be in jail.
