Okay, first of all, I'm saying this as a non-Muslim, but if you've come to answer by saying that Islam is a false religion or Muhammad did this, Muhammad did that... I will report you, because you're not answering my question. This question is intended for Muslims.

I already own a Qur'an, but I'm interested in getting a book of Hadith, what would be the best book of Hadith to get? If possible, post an Amazon link to the book in question...

Thanks in advance,

John S

Living My Truth: Thank you, but I was not offended, rather, I appreciated that you wished me well, even though I don't practice prayer myself. I do love that saying, and I will try to find what Hadith that comes from.

Muslims comply with the sunnah given that the quran says to reside just like the Prophet (noticed) lived so how else to try this however to comply with the sunnah? But you notice, the quandary is that a few ahadith are fake so which to believe? Tirmidhi is good recognized for having plenty of controversal ahadith that don't have any again up. So that is a quandary. Many Muslims forget about him, however others who do not know larger comply with him. Okay so what approximately the others? You pay attention plenty of approximately Bukhari given that he used to be very choosy. For illustration, if he attempted to get a quote from a man, and that man used to be doing whatever no longer Islamic, he would not take his quote. So if he used to be consuming external, which Muslims is not going to do (except they are feeding everybody) then bam, no hadith from him. Also, he checked the backgrounds of the individuals giving him fees. So he'd ask round: is that this man sincere? Trustworthy? Does he have a well reminiscence? Was he honestly in that location at the moment? (to have heard the quote). If the quote used to be of an additional character, that means, the man heard it moment hand, he'd return and verify the opposite character within the chain, and so forth. So he used to be quite cautious. Finally, so much (all?) of his narrations have multiple supply announcing the equal or practically precisely the equal factor. In many circumstances there are three exceptional assets in step with quote. So that's way more risk-free than only one man announcing, "Yeah I heard that." Now a few individuals comply with no longer simply the Prophet noticed however the sahabahs too. To me that is loopy. No in which does it say to comply with the sahabahs. Moreover, a few of them had been horrible Muslims, even after the demise of the Prophet noticed, having greater than four better halves and likewise no longer paying zakat till their demise beds, and so on. I'm no longer announcing the whole thing they did used to be dangerous, however I simply do not see them as a good illustration. the Prophet noticed is ample. Once you discover a supply you feel is ok, you examine what is alleged towards the quran. If it does not fit up, you toss it. I dont recognize if there are any books that do this. So you get rid of the whole thing that does not have a powerful chain, and the whole thing that does not coincide with the quran, and that is what you employ. It's plenty of labor. Plus the sunnis and shias have exceptional collections, however a few are the equal, so the ones are the extra "dependable" ones, I feel (despite the fact that I have not made a distinct research of the diversities to quite remark). If you comply with the quran, you can have roughly ample to head by way of. If you get caught and do not know what to do, the hadiths can aid you out. If any individual tells you whatever is side of Islam and it does not sound legitimate, ask in which they acquired it from. If they are not able to quote you, forget about them. If they quote the Quran, seem it up. in the event that they quote a hadith, seem it up when you've got time, however do not fear approximately it. Quran first and most important. Some individuals placed an excessive amount of religion in Bukhari they usually roughly forget about the Quran in favour of following the hadiths. This is a foul coverage and almost elevates him to godhood or a minimum of prophethood which isn't his station. So preserve your possess head stage whilst studying. -Hayat
