Ok well I didn't know you or this girl personally, and all girls are kinda different about hugs and who gets them and so on. But i'll try to help as much as i can. When i was in school, a lot of girls would hug a lot of guys, and its just normal. That is just their personality and i wouldn't start feeling jealous over who she hugs. It actually pretty normal. Issue two, is that you obviously like this girl, and my question to you, is how did she react after you gave her a hug? If she didn't run away screaming then i think you have a good shot. And if i were in your shoes i would ask her out to the movies or dinner or something, and just see how it goes. It will be one date, and at the end of it, you should have a clear idea of if she likes you or not and unless your really dim witted which i doubt, you should have no problem taking the proper steps from there. Also, whats this girls personality like? Happy? bubbly? cheerful? is she just a friendly person? all of those are big indicators that her hugs are normal.

Like is not love-Whoa,you're moving way too fast with he love thing. This guy is also older -you o not state how much older and your age. Older guys are a lot of times more "Wordly" and they'll like a girs-meaning they are physically attracted and their goal is to have sex------way different than love. Do not rush into anything esp sex for have a feeling you're very young-too young for that type of relationship. You're probably flattered by having a older guy paying attention to you but he should not be taking these kind of liberties and back hugging you-no right to just put his hands on you for hes taking advantage of your youngness and inexperience. Tell him if he attempts again you'd appreciaate if he didn't and you nned to spend time with guys your age and have fun, enjoy yourself. Do not let this guy flatter you into a physical relationship for he sounds like a smooth,fast talker to me

I am not a guy, but better do not assume something that is not sure. Liking and loving is two different thing. If he loves you, then he will do other than that like courting you or telling you that he loves you. But if he just like you, well that's another thing.

yeah, definantly. just a hug and smile would be questionable, but back hug, and the words, and the face to face. its pretty obvious.
