I sent mass emails telling everyone nicely. I don't want to work on any computers. Still people ask and bother me about it and try to make me feel guilty for not wanting to work on or look at their computers. PLEASE HELP

Charge a fee and stand firm to your rates. Eventually people will not want to pay you for services since they more than likely liked it when you would just fix the computer for free...so give that a try...other than that, don't respond to them when they ask for help. Ignoring people is a good way to get them to go away...eventually they quit asking.

Refer them to somebody who can do the work. It can be a professional computer repair shop.

Tell them you will be glad to look at their computer and that your rate is x amount of dollars. That should help.

Just ignore their questions & comments. After all, if they can't get a very pointed hint they have to be pretty ignorant.

dont be afraid to say no. if they are truly your friends then they will understand and if they dont then you dont need those people in your life anyway.
