i can tell you that drinking does not help.
i live with the torment of having lost a child.
and i really do not know how i deal with it i just kind of do.
i quit watching TV because baby commercials upset me.
i do not go out durring the day because seeing other kids
is very hard.
I do not shop except late at night because people that yell at their kids in stores piss me off to the point where i just want to choke the hell out of them and scream " DO YOU KNOW HOW FU***NG LUCKY YOU ARE"
i try to keep busy and not think about it. i work 12 hour shifts and when i am home i have taken up stone carving, tedious and time consuming.
i dont know if that will help you but i hope that it does.

Not sure what you are referring to, so rather hard to answer. Some mental torment is part of a mental illness. If that is the case (If you live in the U.S.) go to Community Mental Health and ask to see a therapist. Some mental torment can come from false ideas about your religion. In this case talk to an understanding pastor. In either case you can also get a copy of the Psalms in plain English and read a couple of them in the morning and at night. You can read parts of the New Testament. You can ask God to help you. The main think is to figure out what is troubling you and go from there.

I am sorry to hear that you are suffering in torment. This very well could be a stronghold that has gotten the best of you. If you pray and fill your mind with Scripture verses that you can bring to mind when you are suffering, The Lord has promised to help you. You must claim his promises though. Boldly go before him and say "Lord, you promised that you would never forsake me, I need your help now." James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
I am glad that you shared that with us. We are to bear each others burdens. I shall pray for you. God Bless.

If this is a serious question, then I would not want to be wreckless and give you bad advice. I do not know what you mean by mental torment since that can be almost anything. For this reason I would avoid since a serious thing without knowing more.....sorry
Be of good cheer

Hey, this will work if you let it....
make up your own little world where you are a superhero and no one can know your identity. You have this magical power to heal others pain by taking it onto yourself. Now that you are alleviating others pain, this is why you hurt, ok....you run around soaking up all of others repressed anguish and allow them to live in their miserable little lives thinking they are happy.... you are an important person that the world needs, to counterbalance the evil in the world. You take on their demons and fight them yourself. Now at some point an angel will come to you and give you another power, but untill then some help on alleviating the demons (fear, shame, pride, judgment and selfishness)..... love, love more people,,, really it helps,,, especially the ones way out of your league, next appreciate more things, stop and smell more roses,,,, breathe when you feel ok,, and the last thing express your pain in an art form, this is tough but figure it out,,, take something that hurts and express it into physical art.... somehow it is transmuted into light when you do that,,,,,, got me there,,,,,,,,,, but anyway,,,,,,, it is nice to meet another healer,,,,,blessings your way

I feel your pain; Here is how I deal with it.
Belief that everything is happening for a reason. Also, everything will be ok.
Another, anything that does not kill you will make you stronger.
Finally, a lot of beer.
May the Lord ease our mental torments. AMEN

Most Christians are plagued by spiritual wickedness as the Apostle Paul mentioned in Ephesians Ch.6. This is nothing new as Satan is relentless in his attacks on the Christians. You will learn to ignore it as he can't do anything to you as you are the eternal property of the Lord Himself and these situations have no impact or bearing on our salvation. Satan will harass Christians in any way he can as he wants to render your service to the Lord ineffective as he known he can't win you back but he will try and demoralise you to the point that you will not tell others about Jesus and salvation. The Bible states that Jesus was also confronted by Satan and we note that it was when Jesus was at a low ebb. Jesus understands exactly what you and all of us go through when it comes to doing combat with Satan so don't get concerned about it simply place the matter in his hands and walk on as he will address the problem for you in his time. The 2 most powerful weapons of Satan are fear and doubt but he is powerless to have any claim on us as Jesus overcame him at the cross. I want you to seek a confidential consultation with the Pastor of a New Testament Church and tell himm everything as he would have had many people go to him with the same problem. You need have no fear of him divulging any thing discussed as he is there to help you through this time.

The only way to deal with the issues you have in your brain is to pray a quick scripture in your head. The problem is in our thoughts. How does the enemy of Jesus enter? Take any bad thoughts captive , and then give them to the Lord. The enemy must flee when Jesus is called............ Not to scare you, but its the truth. We are not responsible for our thoughts, but we are responsible when we act on them.... As soon as a bad thought appears, quickly say , I give it to you Jesus, or even Jesus.... The thoughts are always there because the enemy is always trying to make us weak. Use your shield of faith, and the sword of the spirit which is the scriptures, the word of God. You can not go wrong.

I chant Hare Krishna And I'm Christian. Krishna Consciousness is extended Christianity and it is actually non sectarian and Universal. Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hari Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. These are Gods names and called a mantra which delliveres the mind from all illuison and misery. I love Christ but frankly much of the philosophy has been taken out of the Bible by king Constantine. I like the Vedic understanding yet we accept Christ as the son of God go to http://www.stephen-knapp.com/chanting_hare_krishna.htm on the chanting of Gods names (one God many names) and other parts of the site has universal truths
