How many pending works have no negative effect?

1pending work or 2 pending works or more pending works. Pending works means not completed works which affect target/planning etc.
On performance in office/home/social life.

well actually from the very first pending work it gives a negative effect, people tend to be lazy..so when you start delaying, your works starts to pile up and it affects anything you target..(trust me, i know..my homeworks are already piling like the twin tower)
