Let's break this down bit by bit:
YOU did accept Financial Aid (Grants/Loans) for a Full Time Class Load for the Fall Semester.
YOU originally based it on 15 Credit Hours (which is CLEARLY a Full Time Basis in any University or College)
NOW you will finish the Semester with 11 Credit Hours -- which in the terms of Federal Financial Aid -- is PART TIME or 3/4 time Attendance -- and NOT considered Full Time Student.
So .. on top of whatever charges you incurred for Dropping the Class that you did, YES, you will have to repay the Grants/Loans (or ... depending on what the School's Financial Aid Policy is) you may have the next Semester's Grant/Financial Aid amount LOWERED to reflect the overpayment of Financial Aid for this semester you just completed.

The fall semester just began; probably, you would be required to pay back the tuition for this course because the requirement for full time student is having at least 11 credit for each semester. But for sure, contact the office of financial aid for more information.
Before drop a course, you should have contacted them first.

I have loans also and currently enrolled in school. As long as you are a full-time student you can have 11 credits. You won't have to pay back your loans until 6 months after graduation and if 6 months have passed and you either are still in school or haven't found a job you can contact your loan company and tell them you need an extension on your loan because you are still in school or you haven't found employment yet.

you don't have to start paying any loans back until 6 months after graduation unless you get a deferment
and even though you only completed the 11 credits, yes you still owe for the dropped class if you dropped it after the deadline

The best thing you can do is enroll in a short 1 hr class so that you have 12 hrs. Other wise you be using up your grace time the 6 month period that they give you before you have to start paying back your student loans.

When I had veterans benefits, I had to pay them back but I didn't have to pay back any loans. The grants are yours to keep so you don't have to pay them back regardless.
