i kind of want one at the base of my neck
if i got an MRI would that hurt like hell? i saw some guy on 'house' with a tatoo who was in major pain when they gave him an MRI. but he may have had lead in the tattoo or something

I myself have half a dozen or so tats...once ya get the first on they are kinda addictive......any way before ya get a tat have somone draw it in the place ya want it with ink pen and look at it real close...this is to prevent remorse later down the line...make sure its something you and your significant other will want to look at forever. then when u decide that its what and where you want it pardon the phrase but " GIT-R-DUN". I cant see any reason if you want it on your neck not to put it there....never heard of tat causing pain after it was attached to a body....and trust me neither i nore my friends which we have quite a few between us have sufferd from any pain during any medical treatment caused by our tats....lol never heard that before. So try it on ..like it ...do it!

The reason the MRI hurt for the guy in House was because they were prison tats and apparently prison ink contains heavy metals in it which were affected by the magnet. I don't know if thats actually true, but if you get yours done in a professional place, it shouldn't happen to you. The best place to get a tattoo, is a clean parlour.
Ignore the ignorance above, if you want a tat on the base of your neck, then go for it.

If I were only concerned about the art you would get, it is one thing, but understand that people willing to break the law to tattoo someone under age, no matter the location, will do other unethical things, too - even re use needles. In today's world of deadly diseases - I strongly advise you to wait until you can get a tattoo done by a true professional.

First of all, most people are trying to have tatoos removed these days. Removal is very expensive and doesn't always work. They are so 90's and they interfere with job prospects. People make up their minds about you immediately when they see a tatoo.
Think about how you'll look as an old geezer with a tat on the back of your neck.

A bit of rebellion in my slightly over 50 body decided a year ago to get a tattoo. I chose a peace sign. A first I was scared to add color to it....But after about 6 weeks I viewed it as ugly and decided to add to it. The inside of the peace sign was tie-dye color washed----and then outside of this symbol was made into an American Indian Sun Burst!! Since I work for attorneys I chose a place on the inside of my ride leg above my ankle to sprout this new piece of artwork.
The placing of a tattoo is entirely up to you. Think about your employer and what they would say about it. ASK yourself WHY you want yours placed at the base of your neck? What are you trying to convey to others by placing it there!
"HOUSE" is TV. If on that show that tattoos had metal in them that are sensitive to magnetic fields. Then yes---this person would be in tramendous pain. MRI has magnetic fields that create imaging. Prison tattoos usually contact heavy metals---so goes for the reenactment on the "HOUSE" TV show!

well where do you live???? i get all my tatoo's and piercings done at a plane called. tatoo evolution. they have been around longer than any other tatoo place in the U.S they do really good, and the guys are all really nice. but i have only been to the one in everett washington, so i dont know about the rest. well ya have fun with your tatoo's they are really cool to get. and dont worry about what you seen on t.v they dont hurt, kinda tickle though. lol

lower back hurts like hell. i think tats on the back of a neck is cute, as long as it's something you'll be happy with.
