me and my gf had been going out for awhile and someone started rumors about me and some people kept telling her stuff that was not true. and i guess she believed them and broke up with me. how can i get her back?

Well, trust and communication are key according to every single relationship book ever written in the history of man. Obviously, you're going to have to try to get her to trust you and communicate with you. Yeah, I know it sounds simplistic, but girls aren't that difficult to understand if you communicate well with them. Try telling her everything, how you feel about her, feelings about the rumors and how they're not true, and just to be extra special, buy her something. See if you can have anything delivered to her in a work or school, because it's not so much gifts that girls love, it's bragging about gifts or watching people get jealous of their gift giving boyfriend.

It may be too late, but the only way to get her back is to prove to her that you definitly did not do those things. Even if you have to go out of your way. That means getting other people to help you. You have to be willing to embarras yourself a little too. If you really care about her, you won't mind embarassing yourself a little. But be prepared. She may be over you.
