When I lived in Russia, there was this guy who kicked soccer goal posts with the front of his shins to deaden the nerves, so he could hit pretty much anything and not hurt.

whatever you do, dont jog

jogging is one of the worst things you can do

jogging tightens the muscles making you less flexible
and develops slow twitch muscle fiber
making you slow

run sprints, to develop speed

tie a tennis ball up in the air by a peice of string and just tap away at it-(dont hammer it), for co-ordination

use a punch bag for power

always develop speed over power
speed means you will be able to stop-hit / check-hit, and break rythem of your opponent
the two most essential skills
if you are faster you have all the advantages

speed naturally develops into power
even if there isnt so much strength

because power= force/time

if you hit softer but faster
the power of the application will be equal to a far stronger hit
that makes contact for longer

man one crazy thing we do in kickboxing to condition our legs are start in lunge position stand up and do a front kick and do back down into a lunge and repeat and do it for both legs

but regular lunges work too, jumping(even better skipping)rope, if you have a weight machine adductor(hips), quad, and hamstring exercises work well.
