There are many female commercial airline pilots. I have flown with many myself and they are just as competent as the guys. In many cases I prefer flying with them - they are less abrasive.
In some parts of the world there are discrimination against female to become pilots. That said I think there are fewer female pilots mostly because of the tradition of the industry. Most girls have not explored aviation as a career option; it is considered as a male occupation.

There are female commercial pilots. In Philippine Airlines, where I worked before, we have two female pilots. I know there are female pilots in other airlines too.

Ask your daddy. He is flying for the best airline on the planet He isnt keen about you flying because the industry is in the shitter. There are other jobs besides airline pilot that let you work with and be around airplanes. You could also hold a PPL and fly for fun. try air traffic control, aerospace engineering, avionic engineer, aircraft mechanic, etc. Those jobs pay much better as well

There are female pilots its just that its rare (maybe 1 in a thousand??), it also does not mean that females are worse pilots compared to male pilots.
