Yes, every single day I feel like I'm turning into my mother! It's sad but true. I just try to take all of the good things that she taught me and leave the bad stuff in the past.

I don't agree with every thing that my mom did as a mother, but I'm not letting that keep me from recognizing the all the good and effective parenting skills she's passed on to me.

yes. most of the time I act like my mother, but its okay. Everything about my mother was great except over doing it on the cleaning. Thats just because she studied nursing. I might go through a little phase about cleaning when I come back from visiting my parents for a month. For I lived in Jordan for 23 yrs and it pretty much far from my parents so when I do things she does it makes me feel shes by my side. Which keeps a smile on my face.

I think anyone who grew up with values (which usually come from their mom and dad) ends up feeling like theydo some things the same way their mom did.

I have some values that are the same, some have evolved over time into similar but different values. So in ways I'm like her and in others I'm not.

My kids will vouch for this since my 96 yr old mom lives with us. My mom and I are in a role reversal phase. I take care of her.

Life is strange sometimes.

I'm a college kid (not a mother) and I've realized I'm turning into my mom simply by things i do and say....slightly unnerving.

It happens all the time, it is really funny that when we used to be young we used to be against everything our mom said and now we are turning into a copy of her.

Nope. I'm so very different than my own mother. I'm pregnant with my third child. I've very involved and active with my kids. I homeschool. I wrestle with them and give them lots of hugs and kisses. I spend extra time with them just because I enjoy their company. I'm nothing like my own mother.
