I never did b/c I was too scared to ever get it done. They say it damages the hair too much for our hair and that even if the hair is able to survive, the roots would look funny when they start to grow out. Imagine hair being extremely straight and silky all over except at the roots where it's kinky and coarse. Since you would need to wait at least a few months before getting it done again, the hair wouldn't be looking so good after a while. It's better just to stick with the lye/no-lye relaxer.
