Just got back from the ER and the radiology report states 1.0 cm left upj stone w/o hydo??? What does this mean.. Is it just a fancy way of saying I have a big kidney stone??

Yeah, sounds like you have a kidney stone. See your doctor and tell him about the CT scan or whatever you had done. He'll refer you to a urologist who will confirm whether or not it is a kidney stone. If it is, he'll remove the stone by using lithotripsy, a method which uses shockwaves to break the stone into sandlike particles which can then be passed through the body when you urinate. This procedure is not painful and does not require you to be hospitalized overnight. You will be out of the hospital a few hours after the procedure and back to your normal activities after the anesthesia has worn off.
