its not my favorite, i have yet to find that, but Chinua Achebe once said something along the lines of "until the lion gets a historian, the hunter will always be glorified" saying how history is always told in the perspective of the winner. and more generally how people respect and believe those who "win" rather then people they consider to have lost.
