Like the dude who asked "Do you think Islam is the religion of Satan" like it was a perfectly valid question that could be debated with two sides and rationality? Do some people just enjoy making others angry and starting shouting matches? What is wrong with these people, and how do they get that misguided?

I think that perhaps these people want to invite argument. They want to invite others who feel like they do to start spouting off hatred, and they want to invite people who disagree to go on a rampage against them. They probably find it funny. And it is a way for them to insult people of that religion. Not nice.

In another post I asked some thought provoking questions and even gave scriptures as reference, but I am getting so many insults!
I believe the reason people will not debate rationally is because they are very defensive. They know that some of the bible scriptures are cruel, and they don't have a good response. All they can say is "you have to remember the time in which it was written" as if some parts of the bible are outdated now. Probably they see that it is illogical and misguided to believe that you should just pick and choose the parts of the bible that you want to live by.

YESSS!! Finally!! Someone who agrees with me!!!! I'm gonna right a frikkin essay on this one....
Oh, where to start....
Okay. Religion is a human creation. Its going to be flawed. But some people are raised with the idea that their religion is the best, and that all the others suck (personally, I believe that all religions worship the same thing under different forms). Christians say that Jesus is the only way to go, and they mock the other religions, making false assumptions and being morons when things come that challenge their beliefs. They take everything literally and treat their women like crap because their religion tells them too. They say we're the best, so screw ya'll. Their religion tells them to. They are scientifically blind and challenge evolution when they have no foot to stand on. They hate those that disagree with them, and they say "Only through Jesus will you be saved" when the Bhuddists and Muslims seem fine with Bhudda and Muhammed (respectively). They force their religion on other people, are arrogant and narcissistic, and act on faith alone. I am annoyed just as you are.

Because generally people just don't care about anything but themselves. As for those who think Christianity is just a scam, go and read the books by Josh McDowell. Don't read the summaries or any of those things, read the actual books yourself then try to refute it.

Well in answer to your question...yes there are people who get their jollies off of hurting other people's feelings, instigating arguments and asking incredibly stupid questions. It's not that they are misguided, they know exactly what they are doing. As to what is wrong with them...that could take an eternity to fathom. Maybe their mama's weaned them to early, maybe they were the proverbial fat kid in school and feel a great deal of satisfaction in trying to make up for it, maybe they really did inhale. Who knows?

It's their level of Supiority. Some people enjoy creating havoc and anger in one, to bring them joy and happiness. When you see that a person's angle is ignorant and want to create negativity, ignore them and deal w/them on their level. NEVER LOWER YOURS. He's a lost and very miserable person.

Unfortunately the laws of nature dictate that there will always be "that guy". Some days it's easier to ignore them than others.
