It never swells up while Im walking, only after I get home and sit down. I work at a coffeeshop. I walk to work, I'm on my feet almost the whole entire time, I might take a 10 minute break and then I walk home and I might cook or clean or do something, so Im usually on my feet for a majority of the day. But once I kick back and try to chill, my left foot sweels so much that it feels like it is about to pop. It is extremely uncomfortable. The only time that it goes back down is when I get up and go to work the next morning. Ive soaked it in steaming hot water and Epsom salt. It didnt help at all.

Sounds like fluid build-up due to irritation. Are you taking an anti-inflammatory like Aleve or Advil? What about your footwear? Do your shoes have soft soles? You may want to look into 'nurses shoes' or something similar. Look up bursitis, tendinitis, planter fascias (bone spurs). I know what you're going through, I'm frequently on my feet for long periods as well.

My daughter had a knee swelling problem. We took her to the doctor, and he gave her a prescription which helped little. I went to a health food store and the woman there suggested Glucosimine Chondroitin supplement. This combination works together to put vital fluids back into the bones and tendons.
And it helps minerals to be absorbed more efficiently.
We began to see marked improvement after the first couple doses. My daughter's knee problem has gone away. She now only uses it once in a while, after she's been on her feet for long periods of time.
I truly hope you find the relief you seek. Glucosimine-Chondroitin tablets can be bought at health food stores, and Wal-Mart now carries it too, around $10 a bottle.

You should seek your local healthcare provider immediately because this could be poor lymphatic drainage or venous return which could be arising from a heart or lung problem. Don't be alarmed but you want to rule out the most serious possibilities first.

Take ibuprofen to help the inflammation. Also, if your foot is swelling, you don't need to apply heat, you need to apply ice. Heat does not help inflammation. Also, prop your feet up at home and while you sleep, this will help with the swelling.
