I speak for myself when I say that illegal is illegal - no matter where they are from.
But I think you must also understand two things on the Mexican people being "picked on":
1. The "pro-illegal" people have made them the posterchildren of the "poor illegal immigrants coming to this country for a better life for themselves and their children". So for that, you can look in your own camp.
2. The majority of the offenders are from our southern borders. So they are more of an offender than the other countries (combined - look at the numbers once). So the Mexican people that are here illegally brought it all on themselves.
So I think that you really need to stop worrying about the way people think of others. If they brought it on for themselves, then I have no sympathy for them. Sorry if that offends you . . . No wait, I'm not sorry. Get over it, and realize that it isn't a race issue (Mexican isn't a race), it is a LEGAL issue. Nothing more.

Take a moment and check out the percentage of illegal Mexicans in LA that are in jail or on their most wanted list. Note the fact that 40% of the people in this area speak Spanish. That 50% of the gang members are illegal immigrants. The stats go on and on.
Does this seem to you to be a segment of our population that has or will contribute anything what so ever to the diversity or betterment of our country? Do you believe that a people who routinely break the law and have no interest in learning our language or customs came here to become American Citizens?
Do you really believe that this would even be an issue if they came here, learned the language, obeyed our laws and blended into our society?
Instead of protesting and demanding that we accommodate them - Spanish classrooms for their children and give them all the benefits of citizenship.
They bring this animosity upon themselves when they fly our flag upside down or beneath the Mexican flag....how do they think we will react to such blatant disrespect in our own country?

I think it is more resentment then hatred aimed at all illegals that sneak into the country. We have a huge national debt, legal citizens suggest all types of social programs that we can not afford, social security is in jeopardy even for the people who have been contributing to it all their lives, and some nuts want to give it away to anyone who crosses the boarder. It is idiotic thinking that will run this country into bankruptcy. Hopefully people will wake up and say enough is enough!

I do not think it is hatred, I personally hold nothing against somebody that is here legally, what I do not like is somebody that comes here illegally and then rubs my nose in it. I still am boycotting the Mexican restaurant that closed on the day without Mexicans and I used to go there all the time. That's not hate but rather my own protest.

There are more Mexicans because it's easiest for them, and it's the spiralling cost of having to feed, clothe, house, educate and doctor them being put on the taxpayer in addition to low wages and shoddy work they have become infamous for. But if they came under legal conditions, obeyed all the longs and became a contributing member of society it would be different. the big thing may also be if they look different. I'm scared as hell about the people who come here hating the USA, just to benefit in someway and do us harm sneaking in by the same methods hidden amongst the others, say only .005 percent of illegal entrants annually, that is more than enough! Whether industrial espionage, working in defense or vital technology industries or in campus science projects like reactors or bioweapon related studies, or just planning terrorism or collecting money here by illegal activities to fund terrorism elsewhere. If we had tighter security of our borders and foreign worker/student population it would make it harder for these bad people to escape detection. You can't violate the Constitutional rights of people who are not our citizens. Eavesdropping on phone conversations with recognized terrorist organizations or persons is not a violation of their human rights in my book, not if it saves even just one life. And yes, ALL illegals need to be dealt with evenly and fairly, I'm for that 100%, those who go through the legal process of immigration should not be punished by granting amnesty to illegals. They say 35 million Americans go hungry, these are people we are failing at the same time we send food and money overseas and take care of illegal residents here. Why punish the innocent and reward the wrongdoers? We need to get our own house in order, take care of our own, before we can afford to be generous to others, that is a duty, the other is a charity.

It's a political thing. Conservatives tried to drum up a "serious issue" to distract from the administration lousy record on everything else (republican corruption, Bush's botched war, refusal to help Katrina Victims etc etc. I mean where were all the serious complaints about illegal Mexicans before the elections??? There wasn't much. In fact, it's these same republicans spouting the election reterick that most often staff their homes with illegal Mexicans.
It's just like we heard before and during Bush's push for an unethical war. It's the reterick used to fire up republicans so there is always some "ultra" important issue only they can address (and then don't). Lol - they don't address anything, the republicans have not implimented one single measure the 9/11 Commission advised for national security, and no little fence will keep out illegals. It's all straw man noise while they simply take measures to "build something" so the wealthy can make more money on another boggas construction project (like Iraq and POST Katrina).
I'll tell you what I'm tiered of; uninsightful republicans suddenly hating ANYONE Hitler (opps I mean Bush) suddenly points his finger at. Who is it going to be next? Till they hate anyone in this world that is not of their kind or party etc. It's disgusting!

Regardless of who is coming from where...Mexicans still make up majority of the illegals. Other illegals who sneak or come in try blending in while Mexicans just destroy the place and filth the place and abuse the system the most so all the attention goes to them. if they learnt english try to blend in and work on improving the areas they live in etc etc then the back lash wouldnt be as much as it is now for the mexicans.

Because they trash our streets, bring most of the meth in the USA with them, bring more crime, desecrate our flag, hate our country that they are in, us up our resources ( welfare, free medical care, public schools), and demand that we learn their language. That is why. I also have a problem with every other illegal out there, it just so happens that the mexicans are the largest percentage of illegal aliens out there.

because those people from the countries that you mention (except Mexico) come to the U.S., they come here civilized and do act like fools like the Mexicans. At least those people have some respect for this country.
