If Atheists knew, and the Christians didn't know, that the 'end times' was near, would Christians be upset if the Atheists were kind enough to tell them ??

I am serious about this. I do want to know both sides of the story.

Whatever your beliefs. . . .. . Let's agree to not show hatred in your answers. Thank you.

To clear things up for some .. .It was a hypothetical situation. How can you go so far as to insult somebody on a question you misunderstood. I clearly didn't say any unkind words to you or Atheists. I will respect corrections to your insults. Thank you.

I think as the most part most Christians wouldn't be mad. I'm going to catch heck for this but, The Christians that argue and fight on yahoo answers are immature in Christ and haven't learned that the fight is Gods(Jesus). We are his servants and we are to show the love that he has shown us in our sinful natures. When we fight and boldly throw scripture at people to make them offended we miss the true nature of God. Atheist's can be good people and believe it or not so can Christians.

Since the end times area purely Christian belief, atheists would have to see the world coming to an end some other way such as a collision with an other object or the sun blowing up etc. And if they did tell the Christians then surely they would believe an atheist!!!!!!!!! It would be science that showed an atheist that the world was going to end. So hopefully the Christians would take it literally.

That is something which makes absolutely no rational since as atheists do not subscribe to the end times thing any more than they do belief in God. And for a Christian to miss the whole end times message would sort of suggest perhaps they had not heeded Jesus' words when he said I come as a thief in the night. In other words be watching out for me because you will not know the exact date but I will give you these signs to look for. However, if an Atheist saw Jesus and lets say I was 40 feet below ground on some sort of expedition for who knows what reason and I did not see Him myself, then I would be thankful for the heads up.

Atheists would never believe in the End times....So I don't get your point...any kind of event to be classified as the end times could only be something limited to a catastrophic even such as a meteor or some world wide virus...Something which Christians would already know about. your question has no logic what so ever....so you obviously are christian. Think about what you are talking about.

I wouldn't really Care at all. End time to me means end of this world and a start to the new so I would be more worried about how I would help other to get there :).

OH To all these SCIENCE People Please please spend some time to listen and read a bit of chuck missler. Look for him on torrents and such. Maybe then you will learn that there is more support for the bible than you might think. And I'm talking about people with PHD's here very compelling.

It would be ironical if God came through an atheist to inform the Xtians, wouldn't it. I guess the Xtians would be like "What, weren't we the chosen ones" The rest of the atheist, although would be going hell, would be laughing their heads off. I wonder how many atheist then would convert, if their immortal souls were in danger. Let's face it guys, many atheists converted just before death, just to play safe.

i'm with daisy322 on this one.while i do admit that,as a human being,i do not like to be told i'm wrong,i still have trouble putting myself into the hypothetical situation described in your question.the important thing is that i do not hate atheists,or anyone else for that matter.as Christians it is our God given responsibility to tell people about the truth.

I have seen upset Christians when I remind them that they have been seeing signs and prophesizing doom and gloom constantly since about 1000 AD, and that the Earth is in fact still here.

The problem is that when you say something like "_______ is always wrong" it sounds like you are being mean even if it is just a simple statement of fact!

I didn't know Athiests believed in the end times as Christians do....For Christians, the end times surround the belief that Christ is coming back again
