I would just continue to watch Israel and Palestine battle it out while letting the same happen with the civil war in iraq. As for Iran and North Korea, enough is enough and they should be experiencing a different kind of fire works for new years.

Israel and Palestine would both need land and statehood of course, and Palestinians need at the very least Customs-free access to certain quarters of Jerusalem.......Israel and Palestine (Philistines, anyone? In Arabic it is "Filastiin"...) need to be made to understand that in the eyes of the world, they are like two very old brothers who share the same house but always quarrel and even physically fight. They speak the only two surviving Semitic languages in the world, for cryin' out loud! They worship the same God and trace their lineages back to Abraham! Arrrrrgggghhhhhh......anyway, I think the world is frustrated by it and they need to understand how dumb their conflict looks to everyone else.
Iraq is an open can of worms. We can't close it or leave it rot, so we really need to figure out what the deal is, which people want what, where and how many. Iraq might have to become a couple states...
Iran and North Korea need to be made to understand that even if we allow them to pursue nuclear electricity, we oppose their development of a bomb. If they do make a bomb, the world will be constantly watching them, and they will not develop ICBM technology for a while longer, so they will be relatively powerless while the world breathes down their necks. We can't stop them from making a bomb, but if they nuked someone they would certainly get nuked back and could start a HUGE war, the only difference between us and them being that if the U.S.A. just randomly nuked someone we would most definitely start a huge war.
So how to make sure they just get nuked without starting a huge war? I, representing the U.S., would ask for the support of the world in assuring the systematic nuclear destruction, from afar with ICBMS from different angles all over the world, of all major military targets in either country if they actually did USE a nuclear weapon on some other country next to them! The idea being that if an Iranian or a North Korean could go most anywhere in the world and hear people say, "Hell yeah the other nuclear powers should decimate [Iran or N.Korea] if they nuke someone!", and then get the idea that nukes are bad, and that even though they do exist and we have to make do, it just sucks all around.

It is within neither the purview nor the power of the U.S. president to solve the Mideast conflict. By allowing ourselves to become dependent on petroleum products for every aspect of our lives we made world powers of the oil producing countries. When the Western Nations created Israel they didn't negotiate because at the time there was really no one with whom to negotiate. Our high handed behavior for generations has created a mess which will take more generations to correct. People are just now waking up to the idea that oil dependence is a bad idea, if we had started looking for alternative energy sources when it was first proposed, back in the '60s, we would have them now. If we started now we might have them by 2030-2035, but that does us no good at this moment in time. It is the one huge weakness of the U.S. people that they ignore problems until they're bitten on the a*s, and then want a solution overnight. It doesn't work that way. As Churchill once observed about a problem he was facing, "Every solution that is sound is unpopular, and every solution that is popular is unsound."

. If you took out Syria, this would quickly resolve the problems in Lebanon, with Hezbollah, and with the Palestinians vs Israel. If Israel took out Iran, or at least their nuclear facilities, this would calm the storm that's brewing because of Iran.
N.Korea is the master of their own destiny! No one will attack them, as long as they don't step too far over that line, but once they do, they will be flattened like a pancake.
That's it in a nutshell. What problems would occur with this strategy, remains to be seen. In all reality, there is very little room left for diplomacy, but it certainly is worth a try, and so much cheaper than all out war.

I would continue support for Israel because they are the only true democracy in the Middle East right now (Turkey is too now that I think about it). The US has to support democracies.
I would tell the Palestinians to accept what they are given. Israel is not going to give them east Jerusalem. Take the West Bank and the Gaza Strip and be happy about it.
In Iraq I would quickly train the Iraqi forces and get out.
North Korea I would withhold any economic assistance and try to convince other countries to do the same.
Iran, I would try to get Russia and any other country that is willing to help and try to convince their wacko leader not to build the bomb. If they do get the bomb Israel might attack them and that is the last thing the world needs.

Syria and Iran would be green glass parking lots. I would suspend "habeous corpus" shut down the New York Times and any other "news" agency that has given aid to our enemies.
After Syria and Iran was gone, Go into some of the stateless countries in Africa where Al Queda has taken up residency and clean those countries out. Get Darfar stable, then move to Malaysia to help the government fight the Islamofascist and work my way up to the Philippians.

Stop supporting Israel's occupation of Palestine and make them comply with resolution 242. Stop threatening Iran. For Iraq it's too late, somebody else will have to clean up the mess, the US has lost all credibility.
N.Korea is nothing to do with the Middle East.

First I would get support of UN nations than try to stop Iran by showing the people of Iran what democracy is like. I think Iran is most dangerous from the list so I would try to fix that country from all the corruption first.
