You might want to avoid a makeout session with your dog after he's had a nice meal of anus, but other than that, kiss all you want. Give him a belly rub too. =]

The whole a dogs mouth is cleaner than a humans is an old wives tale , it is utterly and completely FALSE..
People have been been known to contract rabies and WORMS from dog saliva. Do you not notice your dog licks his own BUTT? Cat crap, 5 day old roadkill, all on his menu.
Why would you ever want to?

Is a dog's mouth cleaner than a human's? The answer to that is no. As we all know, dogs aren't particularly fussy about where they put their tongues or what goes into their mouths.
"A dog's mouth contains a lot of bacteria," notes DR. Gary "Ask the Vet" Clemons. "Remember, a dog's tongue is not only his wash cloth but also his toilet paper."

There have actually been studies done to determine that a dogs mouth is cleaner than a persons mouth, so as far as cleanliness its ok. Some people are allergic to certain dogs saliva.

Just don't kiss him while your mouth is full of his saliva. A dog's mouth is cleaner than a human's in that it has fewer resident bacteria, but those bacteria include giardia and others that are incompatible with our systems!
I always have to kiss pets because they're so damn cute, then I immediately wipe my mouth without even really thinking about it! Probably best to rinse your mouth out or brush your teeth or sth even!

I once heard from someone that this can be deadly...I don't know...she may have been talking about a cat...and she may have been crazy...oh, whatever...anyway, if you really want to kiss your dog, then I recommend kissing her head or paw or something besides her mouth. Even though a dog's mouth is said to be cleaner than a human's, I don't know if I would take my chances...good luck!

A dog's mouth is much cleaner than a human's. I dont recommend eatting out of his mouth, but my dog tends to get really cuddlely at bedtime and that is when he covers me with kisses. after about a couple of seconds i try to distract him with my hand of my wrist only because i really dont like being licked in the face.

Now I love me dogs as much as anyone. But for licking me in the face, the answer is no. Hygiene, no way. Dogs are dogs, as much as we love them, and they do become member of the families. Many parasites can be spread in this manner. Personally I won't allow my dogs to slobber on my face anymore than I would my husband. This is just my opinion

Doggy kisses are the best!! No, it's probably not the most hygenic thing in the world, but if you don't mind the doggy kisses, there's nothing to worry about. It's your dog, you know where he's been.

Well, if you want to...
A large dog? ick. I have a toy Yorkie and I let him give me kisses, but not IN the mouth. Ask a vet.
