what is the meaning of life?

I think the purpose of life is to leave the world a better place than you found it. Life is fleeting. All the wealth and power we gain goes away once we die. Life only has meaning if we help others, because the help we do to others outlasts us. Moreover, pain and suffering that we cause to others outlasts us, but it's a bad legacy to leave. So, if we try our best to help others and make the world a better place and try to avoid harming others, we'll probably end up leaving a good legacy behind when we die.
It may be a small change for the better. It may just be a few people in our community who we've helped or small acts of kindness at various times in our lives. Or, it may be something really big and we shouldn't sell ourselves short about our ability to do good in the world. But, large or small, a good legacy will mean that our life had meaning.

I think life is what life wants to be. it can be sad it can be happy is can be full of love or completely neglected. It can be wounding and it can be healing. It can be powerful but yet so weak and vulnerable. Life comes in all shapes and sizes and i believe it is as unique as the person living it, it can be tall short thing or fat. it can last for ages or end in the blink of an eye. Life is the unexpected and its beautiful, its each new day and each sunset. Life is different for you then it is for me it has its highs and it has its lows, it will help you and it will takes hits at you. But its as steady as a 100 year oak tree. Generations have seen it before us and hopeful generations will see it after us. We don't really live life, life lives us.

Man is to create and to destroy.
Some to glorify God, Some to attack God and many to live off their fellow man.
Some in light , some in darkness and some oblivious.
The meaning of life would be to multiply and fill the earth and bring as many as possible into a knowledge of salvation. So that the chosen will all be saved.
We are to use the earth and renew it for the brief time we spend here. We pray that it will be a better place because of our intervention

We are in the land of illusion or Maya only 1/4Th of the souls come here (the less intelligent ones) We have free will and we envied Gods position. There is no hate or envy in the spiritual world so God made the material world for those who want to be Him. HE said knock your self out as He was laughing and crying at the same time. He knew we would misuse our free will and the laws of Karma(action and reaction) would act and we would suffer. That suffering is the impetus to get out of this temporary place. If you want to know what the meaning of life is you have to ask the one who created us. God. We were made by him and for him. We are to glorify him and enjoy a personal relationship with him. We are also to draw others to him by living a life of serving others in his name. We love God by lovingly serving others.

the meaning of life. i think what you mean to say is the purpose of life. like why do we have life. i believe that life is a test. that is why the evil prospers and people who do the right thing suffer.

according to islam, life is nothing but a test. its something that we should all work on improving so the result can be good meaning heaven. and islam helps you in life every second of the day. islam is the way of life.
