type of karate i do? lol They didn't tell me what type of karate i do but all i know is that there is a lot of respect such as- i have to take off my shoes when i walk in and bow, i cant put on my belt out of the dojo or infront of the "sensei", i have to greet the master and say goodbye when i leave, i have to bow down whenever a black belt comes in. I THINK is Japanese karate because we count in japanes, but we also do some moves like the moves in the movie "Karate Kid". So im not sure. O and i bearly started. There are some "stances" that are called the horse stance, the attention stance, the ready stance, the front stance and thats all i can remeber. So any help with the name will be apreciated. THANX!!! (^.^)

It could be almost anything based on what you described. Since you use Japanese terms, it is Japanese or Okinawan. To narrow it down any more, i would have to know more & even then I couldn't be too specific. Ask your Sensei or 1 of the other blacb belts in the school. If they are uncomfortable with having you ask questions, you are in the wrong school.

It is ' Karate Kid ' stuff ... may be Shao Lin inspired ... but go ahead and learn respect for them as long as they teach you that fighting is only the very last resort ... and should be avoided , even if you lose face, but knowing that you can defend yourself , only when necessary, will give you great confidence and poise.
So continue on in your class unless they tell you that Karate is a way to control and bully other people ... then drop them like a hot rock ... they are not masters.
A true master is kind and compassionate even if firm.
If they talk hate in any form find a new class right away.
You sound like a very nice young man. Good to meet you.
Yours truly:
Sensei Jonnie

It sounds like you are doing some kind of traditional karate. This style originated in Okinawa.
The four original style of karate are Shotokan, Wado Ryu, Shto ryu and goju ryu. Most likely your taking one of these style.
They pretty much share the same basic moves with subtle differences.
You should really ask the people at the school more about the style and history. Knowing where your art came from will help you apply it.
Have fun!!!

Just ask the head instructor or a higher rank, they should be able to tell you what discipline you're studying.
the problem is, what your describing applies to most of the Martial Arts disciplines out there, so unless you know the actual terminology of the discipline, then you're only describing what virtually EVERY Martial Arts discipline has except for what it's called in the language of the Discipline's Nation of origin.
so my advice to you is to ask the Head Instructor, and get a school manual to study from to learn the terminology.

in case you like marie osmond that plenty to influence your non secular association...specific EDIT: apparently Micheal is retarded. If we base each little thing off of cartoons....we'd have an thrilling international a million. we'd all have yellow dermis, and over the direction of 20 years purely age 3 years 2. as quickly as we get indignant, we'd improve muscle tissues and swap green 3. whilst our kinfolk have been in threat, we'd be waiting to shoot spiderwebs from our wrists. 4. we'd stay in area, have robots and one eye'd acquaintances 5. Gravity would not have any result until we observed it.

You should definately ask your sensei or one of his sempais dont look on the net.thats what sensei is there for hes your teacher.you would be disrepecting him even if he never found out.theres no shame in asking a question thats how you learn.what if you look on the net and then go to class and do it and the net was wrong?and sensei tells you so?are you going to say no i seen it on the net?not wise.see your sensei.remember your question doesn't it mention respect?read your q. again then think about it again.
