I bet he's full of it! My neighbor dog is a lab-pit mix. She is the funniest character on the block! OH! Such a protector! My two dogs could care less, thank God I have her as a neighbor!
One of the most important things to remember is to be consistent. Labs are working dogs and need lots of exercise. I'm not a lab lover unless they are well trained. Pits are very strong, very dedicated and make great family pets. You hear such bad rap about them because of the "bad" breeders and owners. They truly are a great family pet (for the right family). Both breeds should have obedience training. Ask your vet for a good trainer (not the pet store ones, but a professional trainer).
Have fun, I bet he's adorable! (one of my favorite mixes is a boxer/pit!).

I have a 12month old bull terrier X great Dane, he is also sexed. He is extremely intelligent and fairly easy to train but it takes simple "one word" commands, frequent time spent together and most of all lots of patience, love and encouragement. Never, ever hit a dog, especially don't call him when he is misbehaving and then when he comes hit him, he wont forget that mistake and then he wont want to come to you, you might hit him again.... good luck, oh, yer and use persuasions like liver treats, my dog will do anything for one.

it really depends on what you want to train your dog to do. the best treat to use is either bil jac liver treats or gooberlicious. these are small enough that they really dont hurt weight when training. 4 potty training, if possible take out every 2-3 hrs and when they are going pop a treat in his mouth and tell him good boy!!! it is really easy to teach them absolutely anything in a matter of minutes

Let's begin with the potty coaching first, puppies don't refuse to allow an proprietor coach them to do whatever, as a substitute an proprietor if failing to coach safely. You puppy remains to be very younger and any trainin will take time and persistence. The simplest option to coach a puppy is to crate coach whilst you're no longer residence to avoid injuries and instruct him to maintain it. The crate will have to most effective be used whilst no longer residence although, do nopt over use it. You can discover plenty of step-by-step crate coaching data on google. When you're residence till he will get it you have to in no way depart him unsupervised, he demands to head out each two hours, proper after and earlier than being crated, proper after heavy play, as quickly as he will get up (even only a nap) and with in quarter-hour of consuming and ingesting. When he is going external plenty of priase whilst he has an coincidence a pointy no then out you two cross. As he will get it you'll take him out much less commonly. Clean all injuries with a cleanser that looks after the enzymes within the urine. Labs and pits each goal to delight and are lovely handy puppies in assessment to coach. They simply want consistancy. Your puppy once more is younger, so coaching periods for instructions will have to be not more than 15 minuites at a time proper now, a couple of occasions an afternoon. Never free your sufferers even as looking to instruct him. Being a lab move he'll have plenty of vigor, so coaching periods will run extra easily after a stroll or an ecersise sport to burn of a few vigor. Only paintings on one command at a time, as soon as perfected transfer on. Make certain instructions are brief and special from anyother command. For instance don't use down for each get down and lay down, as a substitute you would use off and down, or down and lay. They first command I constantly reccomend is cognizance. Your puppy demands to be taught to appear at you for a command. Some humans use the puppies title, I use the phrase cognizance. Either manner what will have to occur is whilst referred to as the puppy appears at you, inspite of distractions and waits for it is subsequent command. Once you instruct him to cognizance different instructions come with no trouble. Just a concept whilst utilising treats to coach spice it up somewhat, to preclude having a puppy that allows you to most effective do what's requested for treats. Give treats a few occasions, verbal compliment mostly, and contact or sport play compliment mostly. This will instruct your puppy to do what's requested evertime whether or not you will have a deal with or no longer. Good good fortune.
