Thailand Golf Cities and Packages?

Question

I need help with a good city to go for good balance of golf and nightlife. I hear Pattaya is good but very dirty and sleazy, whicj doesn't bother me but I hear it is over the top. I hear Bangkok is big, slow, and dirty. So, is there anywhere in Thailand that has great golf, great nightlife, and good sightseeing? Maybe asking too much, how about good golf and nightlife. I will be by myself for 7-10 days at the end of january, any suggestions would be great. Thanks for your help. BTW, i will be going to Phuket with my girlfriend around feb 1, so Im looking for anywhere that fits besideds Phuket. Thanks again

Go to Chiang Mai. I don't know what idea of dirty you mean. If it's physical dirtiness, Bangkok fare much better than Manhattan or London! But, if you mean 'dirty' in the sense of redlights! Chiang Mai has quite a good clean nightlife; cultural events. Check the link below! Weather is great now until late January; BTW 10-15 Celcius!
Chiang Mai historically is a different country from Siam; Lanna is the name. Only during the period of unification in 1855 Chiang Mai officially incorporated into then Siam during King Rama the 5th. As a result, you'll find different dialect, foods, culture, people than that of Bangkok or Phuket. I personally enjoy the north myself. Besides, there're also Chiang Rai, Lampoon, Lampang which are nearby provinces.
