we mold the truth to the point that it is best to our advantage; but that's not always the best thing for us

As a defense mechanism that humans use; we see, hear or interpret things the way "our heart" wants them to be seen. Even though in our mind we know that what really is... would be more painful to endure.

Reminds me of this qoute for example...

“Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option”

To me it means we have to bend the truth a bit to fit out heart's desires but its not our best thing to do.

we 'use' the truth to suit ourselves,giving it the colour we'd like to,this however may not be what is best for us ..

you should be true and honest to yourself ...dont pretend to change things ...just accept things the way they are. sometimes we tend to try to change things around to our advantage but deep inside we know we are wrong.
