I am Buddhist and found that there are many misconceptions about it. (for instance, my doctor thought I might refuse medical care like blood transfusions) Have you had any experiences like this?

Yeah, I get the vegetarian one too. (although I am trying to be vegetarian, because I love animals and just need to eat better!)

LOL, the "fat Buddha", my friends are always buying me those Hotei figurines because they think they are Buddha. I don't want to hurt their feelings so I just gratefully accept them. It's the thought that counts! :)

Yes, I have quite the assortment myself. My husband (in an adorable effort to support my religious beliefs) bought me a 75 lb stone medicine buddha and put it on our mantle, I am currently waiting for the mantle collapse and crush someone. ;)
