I am Buddhist and found that there are many misconceptions about it. (for instance, my doctor thought I might refuse medical care like blood transfusions) Have you had any experiences like this?

Yeah, I get the vegetarian one too. (although I am trying to be vegetarian, because I love animals and just need to eat better!)

LOL, the "fat Buddha", my friends are always buying me those Hotei figurines because they think they are Buddha. I don't want to hurt their feelings so I just gratefully accept them. It's the thought that counts! :)

Yes, I have quite the assortment myself. My husband (in an adorable effort to support my religious beliefs) bought me a 75 lb stone medicine buddha and put it on our mantle, I am currently waiting for the mantle collapse and crush someone. ;)

I know you asked buddhists, but I think the biggest one is probaly that people think Budha was atheist, actually he simply said to focus on oneself, and not to worry about finding if God exists or not
