Blame it on hormones, adolescence, my atmosphere, whatever--since I started high school at my all-female prep school this fall I have become totally boy-crazy. I know, I know, I should preserve my youth and all of that. Still, it would be nice to at least know some boys, since I haven't really had many male friends and I therefore lack in that type of social skill. :).

So anyway, how would I go about meeting them? As I said, I don't really have any male friends right now, so I can't just go and hang out with a friend's friend. It's slightly confusing. Advice, anyone?

Haha, thanks so far.

dolphinchick, it actually doesn't suck. I chose to go there...I love it.

Sally, by "boy-crazy" I just mean in the normal way....it's not ALL I think about. I did choose to go to my school because of all its merits, and I actually enjoy going to my all-girls' school better than my former co-ed school, by far.

go hang out at a public school or find out if some of your female friends have male friends or maybe a brother of one of your fem friends

Your interest in boys is normal. The boy-craziness is not good, though. The purpose of an all girls' high school is that you don't have to compete with boys and you can be yourself because you have no boys to impress. You can get a very good education there. However, most girls' high schools have dances and parties with all-boy high schools. If your school does not, then join a gym or attend football and basketball games locally. That is where you'll find the boys. Also, where are your girlfriends going to meet boys?

you should be a little boy crazy - that comes with being your age! first, talk to the school administration. they may actually have some stuff planned, in fact id bet on it. second, find the local mixing scenes. we had a little cafe where EVERYONE went...theres probbly a mall or some such near you. youll have to be bold though, you havent enough exposure to just wit for them. lastly, use the internet to find friends near you, start writing them. BE VERY CAREFUL though, anyone can be anything on the internet. if you decide to meet someone, do it in public, and with your parents near by ( like have them accompany you to a mall, and then do thier shopping while you meet in a restaurant) guys are easy to befriend, just walk up and say hi. well be awkward at first, but well warm up to you. good luck

My advice would be to branch out. Let's say you see a few guys hanging out in public, don't feel afraid to approach them. They will probably enjoy your company as well. Let them know that you're looking for male friends, and who knows, you could end up with far more than you ever imagined before.

Depending on how old you are, go to Target or something like that and just flirt with the teenager workers. There's tons of them, at least at my Target. Mall works well too. Flirt, get practiced, and then when you get practice, you can be more confident to meet more.

If you go to church, church is a great way to meet someone. Or if you dont ask a friend if they know anyone who is willing to be friends at first and then maybe something more.

Is there another high school near where you can attend some sporting events? Maybe you can find other activities there if your not into sports.
Good luck
