For a slightly different take:
People often fear failure. Rather than fail, people don't try. They choose the live in the safety of a stagnant life of inaction. However, without trying people cannot realize the potential they might have; they close themselves to new experience and opportunities; and essentially exist as rotting blobbing corpses.
When we conquer our fear of failure and that of the unknown, we open ourselves to new opportunities and become willing to take chances and experience new things. We begin to live life to the fullest.

I can relate to it...especially in recent months...for I have lived a very hard life and have had a lot of depression and anxiety,so,I feel it's robbed my life until recently...i've been afraid of a lot of things for many years that it's kept me from really "living"..i've been a victim of domestic abuse as well,so naturally I would feel like that. With PTSD and all as well...and beleive me,i'm still somewhat feeling afraid, but, with time and heeding peoples, and especially 'God's guidance,I would'nt' have come this far.Not as far as I have anyway. So,though I know i'm not where I want to be just yet,I am "living" now considering what I WAS going through, which was a death sentence!
