If I have 180 days, $700 suspended, what happens if I get a traffic ticket?

It's actually my step-daughter. She was busted for poss. pot, poss. para. underage drinking. She had $700 fines suspended, 180 days jail suspended.

That means that if your daughter behaves and doesn't get into any more trouble (usually for a specified time like a year) then she doesn't have to pay for her crime. If she does get in trouble again then she has to pay for that crime and any prior crimes.

you are not clear in your wording,

is it a suspended sentence. or is the sentence that your drivers license is suspended ?

If your license is suspended, you will get a ticket for driver on suspended ticket, I costs alot more, possible jail time but not llkely)

if your sentence is suspended, that means if you pay your fine and follow the rules, the charge will not appear on your record after the amount of times.

Think of suspended as "hanging". That charge is still hanging over her head. Another charge and it will all come crashing down.
