Truth for the most part is given through revelation through the Holy Spirit; no different then when it is revealed that healing is for today, baptism of the Spirit, etc. The big question is, would you be willing to forsake you denomination, to be lead by the Spirit of truth if more truths were revealed to you.
Would you be a slave to an organization, or a bond servant to the Master?

By nature most people are complacent and do not like change. When we yield to God, he wants to conform us to the image of His Son (Rm 8:29 & 14:17). The Holy Spirit works on us to meet that end – to grow and mature us. The process is often very uncomfortable to the flesh (flesh is denied). There are peaks and valleys, trials and tribulations and much SELF denial. The flesh must become subservient to the Spirit. The flesh does not want to deny itself; the flesh does not want to love its enemies; the flesh does not want to forgive; the flesh does not want to yield to God’s will – it prefers it’s own. So if one is not following the Spirit, one does not grow, is in rebellion and falls back. The flesh becomes dominant and rises up in rebellion to God’s will. The flesh (carnal) wants to live in a way that satisfies self and not God. The main point is: If you are not being led of the Spirit then you are living apart from God’s will in rebellion (opposed) to Him.

( I am not a pastor but I am a servant)

We are bond slaves to Christ period. The trick is to stay in the center of GOD's will. So yes I would forsake anything in a second if I was "totally sure" the Holy Spirit was leading me in any direction. What a great honor it is to be able to serve GOD in any capacity. Clergy or Laity.
May GOD richly bless you.

That's an interesting question. I would have to say "yes" - but with some fairly profound "conditions" on that statement. I must also say that I seriously doubt these conditions could or ever would be met:

1) The new "truth" would have to contradict Holy Scripture.

2) The new "truth" would have to contradict the findings of the Seven Ecumenical Councils of the Undivided Church (prior to 1054 A.D.)

3) The new "truth" would have to contradict 2,000 years of writings of the Apostolic Fathers and the Tradition of the Church Catholic (Eastern and Western), (i.e., the ekklesia "kath" (according to) "holon" (the whole)...

4) And the "new" truth would have to be contrary to the Faith as stated in the Apostle's, Nicene and Athanasian Creeds.

I must say that I sincerely doubt that any (much less all) of those conditions will ever be met.

Since I believe that the Holy Spirit dwells within the Body of Christ ("And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all [things] he might have the preeminence." Col. 1:18) since the first Pentecost...I would also have many serious doubts if, in fact, any "new truths" were (to be) revealed to (me).

At least none that would blatantly contradict Holy Scripture, Holy Tradition, and Holy Reason.

In my mind, they would not be "truths".

We have Scripture. We have Tradition. We have our God-given Reason. Nothing else is needed. That is where the truth lies.

The Truth is Out There .It will set you free. I would not be a ' slave ' to any man-made denomination. Actually, that would be a easy choice to make, I choose God, Above All.

I am a bond servant to the Master.

The Scriptures confirm and verify who we are in Christ. Truth is brought to us by The Holy Spirit. Our identity is not in any denomination, but in Christ.

Jesus warns His followers not to rebuke those who are not a part of "their group" (see MK 9:38-40 & LK 9:49-50) However, the Church, in her earliest beginnings, had to protect herself from heresies arising from gnostics and others who did not believe in the Divinity of Christ and the Holy Spirit who are One with The Father.

Paul talks about "traditions" taught by the apostles which were not necessarily recorded in the Scriptures, but preserved by the catholic (small "c" meaning universal) and apostolic Church. Christ promised that the "gates of hell shall not prevail" against His Church.

Remember, it was the Church "iglesia", (gathering of people) that Christ formed and that the New Testament Scriptures were written about 200 years afterwards as confirmation of the Truth and Revelation of God through Jesus Christ.

Now John answered and said, "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us."But Jesus said to him, "Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us is on our side." Lk 9:49-50

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. JN 5:39

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. JN8:32

But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. JN 15:25

Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle. 2TH2:15

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 2PE1:20

Grace and peace of our Lord, Jesus Christ, be with you. Amen!

I am who I am to where God leads me, I am not a pastor, but perhaps a leader if God is leading. I basically gave up religion, knowing God does work with individuals as well.
