Don't be just good at doing something, but have the something that you do be good for humanity. (In this case the meaning of good remains the same in the predicate and antecedent.)

It means not to just be good and kind and do nothing with your life but try something and be good at it.

or

It means be do not simply good all the time and good at nothing but to be good at somehting and make your life count.

It suggests that just "being nice" is not worth much. We each need to contribute more to the world than just being delightful people if we want to get anything done or solve any problems.
